The Princeville Resort and Hotel - $$$$ -   ★   ★   ★   ★   This resort consistently gets the highest of reviews from the most demanding of travelers. The views of the North Coast and how the hotel is situated to take advantage of them have earned a devoted repeat clientele. The Princeville Resort is ideal for honeymooners, couples, and resort aficionados. The hotel cuisine is better than the surrounding restaurants, and the beach is pure Hawaii.

The Princeville Resort and Hotel is known for its scenery, and for that to be a point to claim is a tall statement on an island known for its beautiful scenery!

The buildings are tiered back as they rise up a hillside (the lobby is actually on the top floor), keeping the views natural and not as if you are staying in a viewing arcade. You feel part of the vista.

There are even those who favor Princeville over the more developed Poipu area.

The Princeville Resort is decorated in the grand style, with a great foyer lobby and expansive rooms to blend with the views outside.

Steeped in Hawaiian history, layered with Hawaiian ambiance, and designed to provide elegant rejuvenation to a frazzled modern world, the Princeville Resort is simply an oasis of beauty, luxury and spiritual renewal.

Each guest room features custom-designed furnishings, original artwork, lavish bathrooms with oversized tubs; plus a unique "magic" window that brings the outdoors in, then switches to opaque, for privacy.

The Prince Junior Suites and the full Suites redefine the very concept of luxury; they feature exquisite antique furnishings, extensive use of marble in the bathrooms and adjoining vanities.

You can choose from one of 252 impeccably appointed rooms and suites, all boasting spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, Hanalei Bay and the Na Molokama Mountains.

With lush landscaping and brilliant tropical flowers in abundance, the Princeville Resort is dazzling in its natural beauty.

Dining at Princeville Resort is is a multiethnic adventure to the great cities of the world and back to Hawaii.

Under the masterful guidance of Executive Chef Mark Secker, innovative menus are as standard as the incredible views.

Exotic herbs and spices combined with fresh fish and island produce make dining an adventure.

According to some guest reviews, the hotel provides better cuisine than the surrounding restaurants.

Golf at Princeville Resort is superb. Check out the nearby Prince course, rated number one in Hawaii. It's a great test of golf and some superb views of the pacific. If you stay at the hotel you get a better rate.

In addition to the golf, tennis, biking, and water sports offered within the resort, there are great activities and sports located in and around Princeville.

Princeville itself is the gateway to an astonishing array of entertainment options on Kauai's North Shore. These include canoeing or kayaking emerald rivers, cruising and sailing along the famed NA Pali coast, touring peaks and canyons by helicopter, hiking to secluded beaches, horseback riding to waterfalls, deep-sea fishing, and whale watching.
